IDP Education, global international education specialists, today announced the appointment of two senior leaders - Joanna Storti and Montse Castells.

Joanna has joined IDP as Commercial Director for IDP Connect’s Asia Pacific (APAC) region and Montse has commenced in the role of Regional Director – Operations, South East Asia.

Joanna Storti, Commercial Director APAC, IDP Connect Joanna joins IDP with more than two decades’ experience in student recruitment, business development and strategic partnership management. Over this time, Joanna has held senior positions at UNSW, the University of Sydney, and La Trobe University.

Based in Sydney, Joanna will be leading IDP Connect’s APAC team as they launch new client solutions and data insights, foster stronger connections with our global network and advocate for our students and our sector more broadly in our communities.

Montse Castells, Regional Director - Operations, South East Asia Prior to joining IDP, Montse held senior management roles for multi-national organisations including Unilever and Pret-a-Manger across Asia, ANZ, Europe and South America.

In her new role based in Singapore, Montse will lead the South East Asia team to strengthen IDP’s leadership position across student placement, English language testing (IELTS) and English language teaching.

Andrew Barkla, Chief Executive Officer at IDP Education, said both Montse and Joanna will add strength and diversity to IDP’s leadership team.

“Joanna and Montse join IDP as we regain momentum and begin to help the wider sector recover from the events of last year.

“Both Joanna and Montse were standout candidates and we are delighted to have their rich expertise and skillsets to help lead our global teams,” Mr Barkla said.
