Lucy Everest, Global Chief Operating Officer at Heriot-Watt University
We are pleased to announce that Lucy Everest, Global Chief Operating Officer at Heriot-Watt University, will be joining our UK Strategic Advisory Board.
Lucy will bring a wealth of private and public sector experience to the board, having been the Head of Marketing at Elsevier Health Sciences, Pro Vice-Chancellor & Director of Marketing and Global Recruitment at Middlesex University and most recently Global Chief Operating Officer at Heriot-Watt University.
In her current role, Lucy oversees Information Services, Academic Registry and Student Support, Marketing, Recruitment, Admissions, Communications, Development and Alumni and International Development.
On the appointment, Lucy says:

Lucy will join colleagues from across the sector including Chair, Professor Colin Riordan, Vice-Chancellor at Cardiff University. The board helps drive the strategic direction of IDP Connect ensuring that they continually develop solutions for the UK Higher Education sector that remain relevant to the ever-changing challenges and opportunities facing the industry.

Lucy has a keen interest in international student recruitment and transnational education and currently works on international partnerships across Heriot-Watt’s Scotland, Dubai and Malaysia campuses. Additionally, Lucy has strong experience in digital transformation of higher education, change management, Higher Education policy development and places significant importance on how the sector make better decisions through insight led decision making.
