The University for the Creative Arts (UCA) and IDP Connect announce a new collaborative partnership commencing this month. This new partnership will grow the university’s 6,500 student population, by supporting plans to expand their international footprint, and leverage IDP Connect’s global student placement network.

Lisa Li, UCA’s Assistant Director of International explained: “It is a pleasure to start this partnership with IDP. We are excited about our collaboration and the wonderful opportunities this will bring to us as a team. By working closely together, we will bring our creativity, expertise, and strength from our diverse cultural background to achieve our goal. Indeed, with IDP and the global network alongside us, UCA will be able to inspire more and more people, communities and expand our global footprint together.”

Founded in 1856, UCA is a multi-campus arts specialist with a broad portfolio spanning architecture, illustration, fine art, photography, film and business for the creative industries. It has also been ranked first by The Times for Communication and Media as well as Business and Management. With notable alumni such as Turner Prize nominee Tracy Emin and acclaimed fashion designer Wale Adeyemi to inspire, this is an exciting opportunity for international students to study and achieve their full potential within the arts. This new partnership will create greater awareness globally and offer international students a clearer route to pursue a career path in the creative industries.

Dr Simon Macklin, UCA’s Pro Vice-Chancellor said: “We are delighted to partner with IDP to bring UCA’s diverse range of creative arts, business and technology courses to audiences across the globe. UCA’s strategic plan has seen us transform our curriculum to provide a personalised creative education to students from a range of backgrounds and cultures. With its excellent network, IDP is the ideal partner to help us engage with and nurture the next generation of creative talent.”

Additionally, with campuses across Surrey and Kent, UCA offers a vast array of quality subjects that will prove to be a rewarding investment for prospective international students.

Lorna Greville, IDP Connect Client Director (International) further added: “IDP consistently seeks to provide students real choice for their education and their future, so I am delighted to be welcoming the University for the Creative Arts as a new partner for our global network. With such excellent speciality in the arts, an enviable roster of alumni, dedicated teaching staff and an enthusiastic international team, UCA bring a fresh, unique and exciting student offering.
