The wait for publication of the MAC Review of the Graduate route has been a difficult one. In a blog published on WONKHE the day before the findings were released, Simon Emmett, CEO of IDP Connect, urges the sector to look carefully at what it can do to promote the UK as an international study destination with plenty of post-study work support and opportunities for graduates.
Exploring data from the latest Emerging Futures survey, the blog identifies key factors that are important to students when choosing where to study and the key perceptions of study destinations that sit behind those drivers.
Student perceptions of high-quality education and graduate employment opportunities are intrinsically linked and the blog showcases some of the great work being done by institutions in supporting international students who are seeking work experience and graduate jobs.
Ultimately, even after the publication of the review findings and recommendations, there is likely to be a further period of uncertainty until the government acts or does not act upon them. So IDP’s call remains that it is up to us, right here, right now, to let prospective students know about all that is good in Study Destination UK.
