Local Foreign Office advice remains against all but essential travel to mainland China and against all travel to Hubei Province due to the ongoing novel coronavirus outbreak. Different countries and regions are continuing to issue often daily advice to their citizens and travel advice and restrictions continue to be updated.
We are monitoring the situation daily and working hard to ensure we are able to continue to assist and support you in your student recruitment efforts. Based on advice from across our global network, from local authorities and in consultation with clients we have taken a number of decisions:
- – We will re-open all IDP offices in China and Hong Kong, with the exception of Wuhan, on Monday 10th February as planned. Further reconfirmation will be sent on 10th Feb 2020.
- – We are rapidly developing a calendar of digital events for China that we will be sharing with you shortly.
- – We have re-scheduled all February and March events in mainland China and Hong Kong, as well as in Vietnam. We will keep you updated on any further changes.
We acknowledge that the rescheduling of events may cause some inconvenience for you or members of your team. All bookings for these events will automatically be deferred to the rescheduled date at no additional cost. Regional IDP staff will be in contact with you shortly to confirm revised dates. All other events are proceeding on schedule and in case of any change, due to the fast evolving situation, the country teams will be in touch with you.
If you have any further questions, please contact the Client Relations team or a member of our staff within the IDP network. We will continue to update you as the situation develops.
