A new solution for Russell Group institutions for Clearing and Adjustment

The changing attitudes of prospective student buying behaviour towards institutions and the application cycle has led to Russell Group universities having to engage with the Clearing/Adjustment process much more than in previous years.

This process brings key challenges for these institutions, particularly in filtering the extremely high level of interest to find top quality students who are relevant to entry standards and courses.

IDP Connect has heard the feedback from institutions and students alike. In response, we have updated our Clearing 2019 offering this year with core solutions for Russell Group institutions.

Below are three reasons why your institution should consider partnering with us for Clearing and Adjustment 2019:

1. Engage and recruit only high calibre students

Our search functionality requires prospective students to input received grades and subjects of interest before any institution is presented to them, ensuring Russell Group institutions are only visible in front of high quality, relevant students who meet their entry requirements.

During Clearing 2018, from 1st-31st August, 68.56% of all users who engaged with Russell Group institution content had a minimum of one A grade or above.

2. Use Whatuni Go to streamline the process for fewer irrelevant calls & better quality

Take the pressure off your Clearing hotline teams from the high volume of irrelevant calls received during the Clearing period through our newly-launched digital solution: Whatuni Go.

Whatuni Go is a phone-free digital tool that matches suitable candidates to your institution. Read about it in our article, Industry-first Clearing tool matches students to uni courses.  It will carry out the filtering process for you, so you only match with relevant Clearing and adjustment students. These students will digitally receive an offer-in-principle from your institution, thereby enabling your admissions team to simply finalise their enrolment. Offers will only be made if that user matches your input requirements.

3. Keep control of your changing entry standards (unpublished)

Whatuni Go partners use our back-end system, My IDP Connect, to manage their changing entry requirements in real-time, in line with demand and recruitment targets during the Clearing period. Your entry requirements will not be published, but will feed into our search algorithm, allowing you to widen the parameters of prospective applicants.
