The Complete University Guide to offer Clearing 2018 one-stop shop for students

The Complete University Guide, one of the most trusted brands in higher education, will offer a comprehensive Clearing section on its website in 2018 to guide and advise prospective students during this key stage in the university application cycle.

With 18 million visits a year and over half a million in the week of Clearing 2017, the Complete University Guide, which launched online in 2007, already has a strong reputation as a primary source of support to university applicants across the UK and overseas at what can be a daunting and confusing time.

The Clearing 2018 section will be a one-stop shop for these students, their parents and carers, as well as teachers and advisors, to access all of the information they need to ensure the best outcome is reached. This includes Clearing course and university search, dedicated written and video content as well as social media and email, which will support students across the UK and overseas. For universities, the dedicated Clearing area will include new opportunities to reach students in a highly targeted way.

Dr Bernard Kingston, founding Chairman of the Complete University Guide, said: “We are justifiably proud of our independent university league tables and the quality of the information and advice that we provide to millions of students every year at an important time in their lives.

“This enhancement of our dedicated Clearing pages will be of huge value to university applicants and their mentors, to help them search and choose courses and universities of interest. Our institution and subject league tables, together with guidance on student finance, accommodation and well-being, will give visitors all the information they need when navigating Clearing.

“We already enjoy a close working relationship with universities across the UK and this new development continues our mission to help students to make the right choices in changing times.”

Simon Emmett, CEO of Hotcourses Group, said: “The Complete University Guide already provides a critical resource in a student’s journey into higher education. The improvements we are making, bringing together the combined experience across the Hotcourses Group mean that we can deliver something really unique and valuable for students and the sector.”

The new Clearing 2018 inventory is available for institutions from 09.00 on Tuesday 23 January 2018. For more information contact
