Gary Hallam is the Vice President of International and Executive Dean of the Schools of Business and Hospitality & Culinary Arts at Conestoga College. In addition, Gary oversees two research areas: The Magna Centre for Supply Chain Excellence and the Canadian Institute for Safety, Wellness and Performance. ​

​Gary completed his undergraduate degree in Management Economics at the University of Guelph, and later completed his Master’s degree in International Hotel Management at the University of Buckingham, England. Gary has completed many leadership certificates and most recently completed his Executive Leadership Certificate from eCornell. ​

​Prior to joining Conestoga College 15-years ago, Gary was faculty and Chair at George Brown College in the Centre for Hospitality & Tourism. In addition, Gary has spent 15-years in the hospitality industry growing companies, and taught part-time for a number of years in the Hospitality and Tourism degree at the University of Guelph.​

​Gary currently serves on the board of directors for the Accelerator Centre in Waterloo Region, volunteers on the Oktoberfest Community Advisory Council, and is a judge on the Ontario Hostelry Institute Top 30 under 30. Previously he has served on a steering committee for the Canadian Tourism Human Resource Council, as a board member for the Ontario Tourism Education Corporation and for Canada’s Technology Triangle (CTT) in Waterloo Region.​
