IELTS is the world’s leading English language test for higher education and global migration, delivered to over 1,200 locations in over 140 countries and accepted by over 10,000 organisations globally. In 2017, over 3 million IELTS tests were taken by people seeking to demonstrate English language proficiency for education, migration or employment. Test takers have the choice to take an Academic or General Training test, on paper or on a computer. IELTS is jointly owned by the British Council, IDP IELTS; and Cambridge University Press & Assessment.
